My Little Haley Is Growing FAST!

Oh My… Oh My!!!

I’ve been Oh So busy lately that I didn’t get much time to blog nor take pics of my little Haley. My guilty conscience has finally kicked in so I finally took some time to write this one up.

My little girl is growing up really fast! She’s now 6 months old and in just a blink of eye, she’ll be turning 7-month pretty soon! She’s just started her mini crawling and getting really good at it day by day. We’re kept busy “running” after her as she’ll crawl to any nooks & crannies, looking for something interesting for her hands and mouth.

Yup! She’ll bring ANYTHING she can get her little grubby hands on into her mouth. We started her on solids very recently too and she’s loving the new tastes oh so much! But along with it came the oh so Shmellllyyyyy poo poo! Whewwww!!! Her poo poo’s textured has changed to a thicker concoction, hence, sometimes we get to catch little Haley’s face turning all red, trying to push those little bombs out her little bum! It’s sooo funny to look at cos sometimes, she’ll give this big sigh of relief at the very end of the hard work. Okay… don’t ask for videos cos I’ve tried twice and everytime she’ll stop what she intended to do, leaving herself “poo-less” until the next day.

My little girl is also becoming a terrible cry-baby. She loves to cry… FOR ANYTHING and NOTHING. She loves to scream and cry and whine, especially when evening comes each day. It is very exhausting for us, as we had to work twice as hard to distract her, amuse her and play with her. We’re still not too sure how to solve this matter as we think she’s still too young to be disciplined or taught. Are we wrong? Any advice out there from experienced parents?

Anyway… due to my busy schedule lately, I had to leave Haley with my own mother at home a lot and this does not do well to our mother-baby relationship at all. First… I tend to miss her alot when I’m away working. Second, Haley has now became more attached to my mother than to me. It hurts when my own baby cries and she doesn’t want me, instead looking for my mother. I do wish sometimes that I do not have to work and can be a mother fulltime at home. But our financial situation doesn’t allow it at the moment due to some financial burdens which we can’t get out of anytime soon. :( That really sucks & pisses me off sometimes.

Okay… before I get anymore upset… let me show you the many faces of my precious Haley. These photos were taken at different stages of her life, so enjoy!

These following photos were taken when she was just over 1-month old. She didn’t know how to sit properly yet, so I propped her up in between two huge cushions. She’s wearing some of her new clothes that day. Her smiles & chuckles never fail to melt my heart.

We finally got the chance to bring Haley back to my hometown in Kuching. She just turned 4-moth old. She did so well in her first flight experience! Didn’t cry at all. Was more curious than anything else. :D Note to parents who want to fly with their babies: Ask for a baby banister or baby cot when you book your flights. It’ll come in handy especially when your baby wana sleep and you wana eat! ;)

While in Kuching, the weather was very beautiful and I found many beautiful empty lands with pretty grasses for photo shoot. Since I didn’t have any photo shoot booked while there, I took my Littl Haley instead for a rendezvous around Kuching. Sunset time was just nice as it was not scorching hot nor heaty for babies. ;)

Ooh Baby: Lil’ Tiffany l 7-month l Petaling Jaya l Malaysia

GOSH! I have not blogged for aaagessss!!! So so so sorry… Too many things had happened since my last post. I’ve been pretty busy with my cameras, capturing cutie pies in their cutie moments as well as some happy happy romantic moments for some beautiful couples. Editing work is tying me down a lot these days.

And my Little Haley is still a handful! She’s growing so so so fast & I try to spend as much time with her so I don’t miss her growing up moments. Will post up some pics of her later. ;)

My new blog is still in the making, hopefully to soft launch it by next month. *fingers crossed*

I’ve been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism recently. I’ve been having heart palpitation, getting hungry every 2-3 hrs no matter how much I ate yet I didn’t gain any weight, body tremors & suffering from heat intolerance for quite some time now. All these while, I thought theses symptoms were due to me breastfeeding & having very little sleep at nite cos Haley has yet learnt to sleep throughout the nite.

My recent trip back to my hometown, I decided to visit my family specialist doctor for a blood test & general body check-up. Good thing I did! Now, I’m on medication for my thyroid & heart and praying hard that I will get well fast.

Anyway… The main reason I’m writing this time is about one of my recent baby shoot.

Remember Little Tiffany??? She turned 7-month old few months back & we had another sweet session together with Daddy S and Mommy C at my condominium’s swimming pool area. Mommy C was concerned that her little girl will not look nice in the photos this time round cos she had had her hair cut very short recently. She was shedding hair (which is pretty common and to be expected on babies in their first year of life) and her mummy decided to have Littl Tiffy’s hair cut so she’ll look better.

Well Mommy C… Your worries are over cos Tiffy is still such a cutie pie! Just look for yourself! ;)

She still loves her little fingers!

Something Exciting Is Coming…

Hello Hello Hello…

Once again… so sorry for the lack of posting lately. Still busy shooting & editing some wonderful series of moment I’ve captured recently.

I’ve also been caught up with taking care of Haley by myself as my mother went home for 10 days. During her absence, Haley had had her first fall and she had a bad shock which lasted for almost a week. I took the whole week off to be with Haley, calming & soothing her cries almost 24 hours. Good news is… she’s totally fine now. Doctor didn’t find anything wrong with her after the fall and Haley’s finally calmed down after we’ve prayed over her few days back. She’s now back being a happy & naughty girl at home. :)

Okay… this post will have to be a short one. Just want to let you know that I’m the in the midst of having my logo re-designed as well as getting a new blog template. Am also going to have the new blog be hosted on my own domain pretty soon. Very exciting! Well… at least it is to me! Hahaha… :D

Till then… have a wonderful (coming) weekend!

What’s Brewing?

Sorry for the long silence. Had been busy clicking away on my camera as well as doing post-processing on many sets of photos lately. Here are sneak peaks of what I’m currently working on…

Be right back! ;)

There’s Something About Haley

  • Since she’s a “big” baby (born at 4.2 kg), she gets hungry real fast and when we feed her, she guzzles down her milk like a sink hole! When she’s done, she’ll “flick” the nipple out with her tongue with such a force!
  • Sometimes when she “poo poo”, her face will go all red & she’ll start crying. After “poo poo”, she’ll make such a cute face with her lips all puckered up and you can really see how much relieved she’s gotten!
  • Very recently, she’s gotten to liking her rocking car seat. She normally will stop crying after we put her in the seat. We think she prefers sitting up than sleeping flat down.
  • She doesn’t like dirty diapers, especially with “poo poo” inside. She’ll not stop crying until we clean her. However, she’ll tolerate some pee to a certain extend.
  • She snores, grunts, whines, smiles and even chuckles during her sleep.
  • She can lift up her neck for a few seconds while lying on her stomach when she’s only a few days old. Lately, she can sit up straight for nearly a whole min without any support!
  • She doesn’t like being swaddled like most babies. She loves sleeping with both her arms spread apart above her head.

We celebrated her “fullmoon” (1-month age) recently and she slept almost thru the party, waking up for about half hr before we took her back home to settle for bedtime. Hahaha… Have just gotten the party pics yesterday & will be posting some up soon.

Meantime, here are a few shots I took of Haley during the day she turned 1-month old. All shots were taken with my NEW Canon 5D MKII! :D

More of Our Little Haley

Just a short post this time. Have not been blogging cos I had to overcome my “baby blues” recently. Haley’s doing fine and has been a feeding, pooping, farting & sleeping monster. I’m tired all the time cos lack of sleep as I had to watch over Haley all by myself during the nite. Bookings for my photography are coming in slowly but steadily, so, I’ve been trying to reply emails as often I can during my confinement period.

I pray Haley will be more manageable by the time I get back to work fullforce again this coming May. My confinement period has been a nightmare for me, hence to cheer & reward myself, I’ll be buying a new toy pretty soon. So stay tuned for the big wonderful surprise!

Here are a few more shots of our Haley taken few days back at home. She’s the only calming effect I’ve got when I got all depressed & sad recently.

How It’s Been So Far…

  • Haley’s got jaundice since 3-days old but doctors had done 2 blood tests & convinced us that there’s nothing to worry about as the bilirubin level is low, hence, her jaundice is considered mild. I’ve been told to stay off ginger if I’m breastfeeding as this’ll slow down Haley’s recovery.
  • I think I’ve got post-natal stress. Being in confinement isn’t helping with the stress but I’m trying to control it. I’ve been very tearful & annoyed with both my mum & mother-in-law with some of their ridiculous “confinement rules”. Thank God for darling who’s ever so understanding & supportive. And Haley’s presence do calm me down some what, especially when she looks at me with her big big eyes.
  • My breast milk is coming along better but I’m still mixing Haley’s diet with formula milk. Haley’s such a big baby that she gets hungry so much faster than many babies her age. I find drinking fresh milk & eating oatmeal helps with the milk production. Next, am going to look for red raspberry leaves tablets as was told it also helps with milk production. I was told by my doc that she had papaya leaves tea when she had her kids but she sed it’s a very bitter concoction, hence, I decided not to try it. Hehehe…
  • I’ve been thinking of daddy a lot. Everytime I look at Haley, her nose reminds me of daddy. I wonder if daddy’s spirit is with us & I hope he’s proud of his grand-daughter.
  • Haley’s been such a good girl, only crying when she has the tummy upset or is hungry. She’s such a good natured baby and I pray this’ll be her true nature forever. However, when she’s upset, she can be very impatient, especially when she’s HUNGRY!

I’ve been taking some pics of Haley recently and here are a few to share with you. Hope you like them as much as I enjoy taking them! I’m in love with our little girl more & more each day!

26th March 2009

Our little girl, Haley Tan Hui Min, is bornt on this day which is ALSO my birthday. :) Her name means “A Beautiful & Intelligent Heroine”.

I had to go through an emergency C-Section as my cervix couldn’t dilate despite a very good & strong contraction cycle after 7 long hrs of labor.

I was lucky to have darling with me in the O.T. and when baby Haley came out, we were ecstatic! She was 4.12 kg heavy and that is considered a reaallllyyy BIG BABY! Lucky thing I went thru C-Section rather than natural birth. Phew…

Okay… many will ask WHO does she take after… well… here’s our current conclusion from several of our friends’ comments.

Overall she looks like darling Francis. She has darling’s cheeks, mouth, fingers and toes. I personally think she has my nose and my hair thickness although her hair style follows daddy. Ah well… they say babies changes in features from month to month, so let’s see how much she’ll change next month!

Anyway… here are her pics at 7-days old. I’ll take more once I’m healed and can be more mobile.

Will update more later on what we’ve gone through ever since her arrival into our little family. :)

Dear Lord Almighty, we praise & thank you Lord, for the safe arrival of our little girl, Haley, into our little family. She’s the best birthday gift one can have and we pray that You will guide us to be the best parents she can ever have. AMEN.

Ooh Baby: Lil’ Tiffany l 4-month l Petaling Jaya l Malaysia

Mommy “C” emailed me one fine day recently to enquire whether I do any baby portraitures. Coincidentally, I just came up with a baby special called “The First Year” and she immediately took up the package enthusiastically. Woohoo! And how lucky cos I was about to go on my maternity leave too!

I was very privileged to meet-up with Lil’ Tiffany and her parents recently. She’s a happy, wide-eyed little 4-month old infant who loves to suck on both her index + middle fingers. Sooooo cute! Enough said… here are a few of my favorites.

Ooh Baby: Lil’ Lydia l 3-month l Kuching l Malaysia

Last Christmas, I had the chance to celebrate with mum back in hometown Kuching. We went visiting to Uncle Dominic’s house [he was one of my dad's best friend] and I had a wonderful short moment with Little Lydia, his first 3-month old grand-daughter.

Isn’t she adorable? Such fat cheeks!
