Hello!
Just a short update. There will be an unconference for photographers & videographers alike coming 6th & 7th May 2009 in Petaling Jaya and I will be one of the volunteers for the event! I will be presenting a photography related topic ”Guidelines to Drafting Your Photography Contract”.
A little about the unconference:
“These are most likely the first 2 questions on your mind. An unconference is an informal gathering of likeminded people with a common interest. It’s a participant-driven conference, meaning everyone must participate in some way or another. We encourage everyone to present a topic or engage in a discussion during the 2-day sessions.
Each ShootFest is a media unconference primarily for photographers and videographers. This first one that is organised is themed The Wedding and is meant for professionals, freelancers and anyone interested in wedding photography and videography.
The benefits of ShootFests are knowledge-sharing, networking and raising the bar for the industry. If you feel you don’t want to share any of your kung-fu, then the unconference is probably not for you. We want to breed improvement for everyone, and need you to share your thoughts too.” For more info, go to http://shootfest.org/
Hope to see you fellow photogs there!
Meanwhile, I’ve been pretty busy with my little Haley as well as catching up on my editing work recently. My mum went home to Sarawak for a week and I was left alone with Haley (with some help from my in-laws) for a whole week. Hence, my editing time has been shorten and since mum is finally back to help me at home with Haley few days back, I’ve been huffing & puffing to catch up on my work! So please bear with this none-posting period for a little while, ya! I will try to blog as soon possible!

Okay okay… I know this is SOOOOOO DUE already! Hahaha… Anyway… Here are the links to our wedding photos taken by our fellow photographer friends.
Kuching Wedding Photos by Alex & Grace Lam (Atelier Ventures)
Kuala Lumpur Dinner Reception by Alex Moi
And blogs about our wedding by Peter Cheong, Alex Moi and Grace Tan.
I’ve finally completed the wedding slideshow series and burnt them in a DVD for each of our dearest family & friends. Will be sending to your doorstep pretty soon!
Meanwhile… I’ve been busy with a friend visiting KL for a whole week as well as taking photos & editing them. Here are a few of them taken recently.
During Derrick & Jennifer’s Wedding. Derrick was darling’s old classmate from Primary School! I only met Derrick during our wedding dinner reception back in December last year and I finally met his wife on the eve of their wedding day! Hahaha… I’m really honored to be given such trust & opportunities during their special day.

This one was my 1st experiment with shadows using my newly purchased pocket torchlight.
Simple Yet Elegant
My first automotive launching event at The Hilton at KL Central. Darling & his colleagues gave me a rare chance to experience their Triton Launch which was only for the media people. They served really yummy snacks!

My closest cousins, Leonard & Claudia wanted to have their personal portraits taken with their work uniforms. Both work for Malaysia Airline. We hung out at Putrajaya for nearly 6 hrs & we had great fun together. Well… They had fun changing clothes & posing for me while I had a blast “directing” them clicking my shutters away. I wasn’t allowed to post their photos with their uniforms so here are a few of them in casual wears.
I just love the sunray penetrating thru the crevices of this massive metal feature. My first succesful attempt of taking photos to capture the rays of the sun at the back of my subject.

Cuz Claudia looks stunning in this new dress which was a gift from her brother, Leonard.

Been spending time with mummy… Went grocery shopping lots of time cos we just bought a new-bigger fridge as our old one “died” on us recently. Mum’s been cooking a lot too. Not only were we happy eating home cooked food, our friends, MikeT & PeterC been well-fed by mum too!
Brought mum to a few new places too. Putrajaya for the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition nights, the Hibiscus & Orchid Gardens, K.L. Bird Park and Butterfly Park. There were so many other attractions in the Perdana Lake Gardens but we just didn’t have enough time to see all.
Took the opportunity to shoot lots of photos during these visits. I’ve not enough time to go through them yet. However, here are a few of the fireworks.
