Engagement: Albert + Faye l Petaling Jaya l Malaysia

Hello there!

Today’s post is going to be a little different. Once a while, I get the chance to capture some romantic portraits for those love-birds out there. The typical go-to-the-park or romantic settings of a restaurant, etc.

I’ve been searching inside & outside for a new approach for engagement and wedding portraits, praying constantly for guidance from HIM. Finally! This couple was brought to me with an interesting & amazing idea. An underwater pre-wedding style portrait session! I mean… WOW! Alas this has got to do with an element which I am oh so familiar with for sooo many years!

Due to budget and time constraint, we decided to have this session done in a swimming pool. Preparation was done with a check-list, having in mind both technical and safety issues during the photo session. I had some friends over to help me during the session and it all went soooo well! I’m stoked!

 Initially, Faye was all jittery and nervous about holding her breath and being underwater. I took my time, re-assuring her that she’ll do very fine. Half and hour later, she forgot all her nervousness and all smiles throughout the day!

Ooh Baby: Lil’ Tiffany l 7-month l Petaling Jaya l Malaysia

GOSH! I have not blogged for aaagessss!!! So so so sorry… Too many things had happened since my last post. I’ve been pretty busy with my cameras, capturing cutie pies in their cutie moments as well as some happy happy romantic moments for some beautiful couples. Editing work is tying me down a lot these days.

And my Little Haley is still a handful! She’s growing so so so fast & I try to spend as much time with her so I don’t miss her growing up moments. Will post up some pics of her later.

My new blog is still in the making, hopefully to soft launch it by next month. *fingers crossed*

I’ve been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism recently. I’ve been having heart palpitation, getting hungry every 2-3 hrs no matter how much I ate yet I didn’t gain any weight, body tremors & suffering from heat intolerance for quite some time now. All these while, I thought theses symptoms were due to me breastfeeding & having very little sleep at nite cos Haley has yet learnt to sleep throughout the nite.

My recent trip back to my hometown, I decided to visit my family specialist doctor for a blood test & general body check-up. Good thing I did! Now, I’m on medication for my thyroid & heart and praying hard that I will get well fast.

Anyway… The main reason I’m writing this time is about one of my recent baby shoot.

Remember Little Tiffany??? She turned 7-month old few months back & we had another sweet session together with Daddy S and Mommy C at my condominium’s swimming pool area. Mommy C was concerned that her little girl will not look nice in the photos this time round cos she had had her hair cut very short recently. She was shedding hair (which is pretty common and to be expected on babies in their first year of life) and her mummy decided to have Littl Tiffy’s hair cut so she’ll look better.

Well Mommy C… Your worries are over cos Tiffy is still such a cutie pie! Just look for yourself!

Something Exciting Is Coming…

Hello Hello Hello…

Once again… so sorry for the lack of posting lately. Still busy shooting & editing some wonderful series of moment I’ve captured recently.

I’ve also been caught up with taking care of Haley by myself as my mother went home for 10 days. During her absence, Haley had had her first fall and she had a bad shock which lasted for almost a week. I took the whole week off to be with Haley, calming & soothing her cries almost 24 hours. Good news is… she’s totally fine now. Doctor didn’t find anything wrong with her after the fall and Haley’s finally calmed down after we’ve prayed over her few days back. She’s now back being a happy & naughty girl at home.

Okay… this post will have to be a short one. Just want to let you know that I’m the in the midst of having my logo re-designed as well as getting a new blog template. Am also going to have the new blog be hosted on my own domain pretty soon. Very exciting! Well… at least it is to me! Hahaha…

Portraiture – Just Cause: Joni + Lina l Layang-Layang Island Resort l Sabah l Malaysia

Joni’s one of the boat captain for Layang-Layang Island Resort while I do my annual divemastering for the dive center. He’s a very soft spoken guy but know his stuffs really well out in the sea. He’s married a sweet petite gal, Lina, who became one of my best pal while I was there. Both have been married for many many years but have never had their portraits taken together before or after the wedding.

To show my love & gratitude for them for being such wonderful friends & collegue, I offered to do their portraits during one of the island’s killer sunset.

Both of them are madly in love with each other even after being married for so long. They’re very shy infront of the camera at first. Joni trying to be the typical “macho” guy, pretended to act all cool while Lina tried to warm up to him infront of the camera. Soooo cute!

Eventually, they loosen up & we had a few good laughs, hence, a few wonderful warm shots of them together.

I am a Malaysian female photographer based in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor that loves any kind of photography listing from nature to skyscrapers, weddings & events, and especially portraitures for pregnant families, newborn babies, couples & families.

I am also an avid scuba diver which enables me to capture amazing underwater images from all around the world.

This blog follows both my professional life (as well as) some of my personal life, featuring “MOMENTS” from the maternity & newborn sessions, weddings & beautiful people I managed to capture with my lens, the places I travel and the friends and family members that mean so much to me.

It also contains random information source for my current and potential clients as I’ll (from time to time) provide some useful links of wedding tips & what-nots for your ”surfing” pleasures. I hope this blog will also be a source of inspiration and education for other photographers.

This site is a little more informal and I just want to give everyone a sense of who I am, and what I am all about.

Portraiture – Studio: More of Adeline Lee l Petaling Jaya l Malaysia

Wow… thank you so much for the motivating comments ya all! Okay… due to high demand, here are a few more shots taken from my first studio experience recently. Make-up by Siew Mun.

Adeline was in this gorgeous long wedding dress! Sigh… Makes me wana get married all over again!

I asked her to do a little playful twist with this cute knee-length dress.

I know this series lack many other elements which can make my work pops even more. Upon doing more research & comparing this series with other international photographer pros, I decided what I’ve achieved so far is just a tinie-winnie bit to what I can do in the future. I’ll continue learning & improving my capabilities and skills. And especially to broaden my creativity aspect of photography & people. The Sky is the Limit!

Oh well… I’d have posted a few more images of Adeline, especially of the delicious details on the dresses and of her sweet sweet smiles but I realised only moments ago that the idiot me accidentally saved my work in my other hard disk and not on this laptop! Arrrggghhh!

Never mind… Will post some more up on my Flickr page and pretty soon on my  new photography website which will be officially launched pretty soon! So stay tuned and in the meantime, drop me a line or two, ya!

P/S: I’m currently back in Kuching to be with mum as coming Monday will be one year since daddy left us unexpectedly. Past few days was kind of like a roller-coaster ride on my emotional state when I remember back of what happened exactly a year ago.
